MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1Cor.12:9 One Body, One Faith, Remain in Faith?

Sadly, those wanting salvation by their own works simply can't get it, what does it means to remain in the Faith. There is only one faith and it is a gift of the body of Christ Jesus as are all the gifts of Holy Spirit. Faith is given to each body member as God choose and in what portion. Remaining in Christ is not from the will of our sinful flesh, it can't be, for all in Christ are dead too their sin flesh and made alive in Christ Jesus under his headship, hence, his will. being obedience and remaining in faith comes from Christ life indwelling God's children, not of mans will, or their works of law.

1 Corinthians 12:9 to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit;

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.

One cannot be obedient in any fashion without the gift of faith given freely to His children. No matter how much a person wants to call one evil thinking they can be obedient by their fleshly efforts, and will, they are a liar if they are not in Christ Jesus, twisting being in Christ into a new work of law is just one more self sustaining rebellion against the unmerited kindness of God love towards us.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves. Or don't you know as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you are disqualified.

There is one faith, one anointing, one head, one Christ, all members receive his faith, anointing, death, and life, and his obedience by his good works in finished works of God, there is no separate righteousness, or works God has declared righteous and/or sinless but Christ. It hard to be humble when you nothing to present to God from yourselves that is clean or righteous one must be humble in a free gift or they are presumptuous in condemning others for something they are not good enough to posses by individual obedience!

1 Corinthians 8:6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

Rom.7:21 I find then the law, that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present. 7:22 For I delight in God's law after the inward man, 7:23 but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members. 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death? 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God's law, but with the flesh, the sin's law.
