John 3:14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 3:15 that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

The nation of Israel was soon too be under a curse, as had been the Israel under Moses when rebelling against God, and Moses leadership ,which leadership would soon pictured the Christ. God had done wonders among those Israelite releasing them from Egypt bondage by YHWH powerful hand. Moses himself was made a God over Egypt, where he spoke God's judgments upon Pharaoh, and all his false gods. if Pharaoh listen to God's voice spoken through Moses his false god's and his great nation was not plagued by YHWH. Still Israel lacked faith in God and Moses mediatorship rebelling soon after their release from Egypt. God sent them fiery serpents biting those rebels cursing each one whom made themselves into a god, choosing good and evil for themselves like Adam was bitten by sin through great serpetn Satan the Devil.

Number.21:5 The people spoke against God, and against Moses, Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, and there is no water; and our soul loathes this light bread. 21:6 Yahweh sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
21:7 The people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against Yahweh, and against you; pray to Yahweh, that he take away the serpents from us. Moses prayed for the people. 21:8 Yahweh said to Moses, Make you a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard: and it shall happen, that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.

God again was doing great wonders for the wayward nation of Israel in Christ, but once again the majority would reject Christ choosing for themselves as gods good and evil. The very law they so loved and which had been enforced over them for thousand's years became their curse, the very thing they wrongly judged Christ over, “claiming no one can forgive sins but God!” But God made Christ their God through a greater mediatorship than Moses, through the mouth of Christ came the word of God, Christ was the Word of God.

Those bitten by the fiery serpent could repent God allowed Moses to lift up a copper serpent on a pole, but each person bitten must humble themselves looking to God's means of salvation to be healed from their death dealing bit. Now Christ tells a teacher of Israel Nicodemus this story, one he himself often taught, applying it to him and all the nation of Israel once again. Christ would be lift up, he would be put on a tree a stake as a curse to removed the laws judgment off this great nation, most would be rejected in denying the Christ and clinging to the law of God given them by Moses. Cursed is anyone under the law of God once Christ was lift up, cursed they would be in rebellion against God, bitten by pride of self-righteousness through the law, instead of Christ righteousness.

Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"{Deuteronomy 21:23}

Galatians 1:8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any "good news" other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.

Galatians 1:9 As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any "good news" other than that which you received, let him be cursed.

Christian's mustn't be bitten by pride of judgment through the Old Law covenant as good and spiritual as it was, it did not make a person sinless once for all time declaring them righteous, it did not perfect them in Christ the eternal life. Moreover, the Old Law could not born a person new, the very conversation Christ had with Nicodemus a great teacher in all Israel. Israel could not become a ruling class of kings and priest by the power of the Old covenant, in fact, they would be cursed by the Old law, what curse?

Galatians 4:5 that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of children.

Galatians 2:19 For I, through the law, died to the law, that I might live to God.

They would indeed struggling in works of law, blaming and condemning each other by the laws judgment always lacking in the sweat of their face, dying in fear of God's judgment. The law could not make them good enough for the thing they sought so selfishly eternal life. It rather condemned them as sinners, as unrighteous, needing God's forgiveness through blood of innocent animal victims. Now that blood was removed, no more, not accept by God as righteousness, but rejected as thorns and thistles. God placed it with the superior righteousness of Christ the new covenant over Israel a new law, a new heavens, superior, wherein each person of Israel could be a son of God, born a new, replacing what Adam had lost by the righteousness of Christ.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them."{Deuteronomy 27:26}

No those Israelite's could not hang on to their pride of laws, and its righteous judgments they would have to freely forgive each one his brother from their heart as God had removed their own transgression, freely, once for all times. Now God was dealing with spirit sons, under the greatest law a spiritual law, the law of love, the only authorized law expressing God's own righteousness in truth and Spirit. God is no longer dealing with fleshly Israel, God has put the flesh and its judgment away, killing it in Christ and the new covenant. Now God has become King judging the eternal lives of His own son's, hence, making Him the rightful judge of such great and profound matters. Let us not be bitten, by Old Law and New Law mixtures, polluting us into the yeast of leaven through teaching good and evil, what good and what evil? Judgment of sin under the the Old Law, and sinlessness under the Christ in the New Covenant.

1 John 5:18 We know that whoever is born of God doesn't sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn't touch him.

Galatians 2:18 For if I build up again those things which I destroyed, I prove myself a law-breaker.

1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

Romans 13:10 Love doesn't harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
